167Light Trade Turnout. Two wheeled vehicle. Open to single horse or pony, any height, entries to be shown in a Trade Vehicle. No goods to be carried. (OR - Type j).
168Light Trade Turnout - Four wheeled vehicle
170Vintage Vehicle, in Private or Trade Turnout, with two-wheeled vehicle
169Vintage Vehicle - Two or Four Wheel Vintage Vehicle, Single, Pair, Tandem & Multiple
171Country Turnout - single, pairs or tandems driven to either a Country Cart, Dog Cart, Governess Cart, Ralli Cart etc, suitably turned out for the country. Plain black or brown harness may be used.
PRIVATE DRIVING & TRADE CLASSES

Arrival and Departure: Classes 160 - 166 will be judged on Wednesday and classes 167 to 171 on Thursday - see PROVISIONAL timetable on inside front cover. Exhibitors should arrive at the Showground in good time making allowance for possible traffic delays. Departure is allowed on conclusion of judging and parade.

Stables: Stabling may be booked at the time of making entries, at a fee of £40.00 (inc VAT) each per day. There will be no refund on cancellation.

Entry Fee per Class: Classes 160, 161, 166, 169 & 170 £24.00 (inc VAT); Classes 162, 163, 164, 165, 167, 168 & 171 £34.50 (includes £10.50 Horse of the Year Show Contribution)

Late entries will NOT be accepted and entries in all sections will be subject to space and availability.

Prizes: Classes 160 - 165 & 167 - 171 -1st £40, 2nd £35, 3rd £30, 4th £25, 5th £20, all others below will receive £15.00. Rosettes 1st - 10th
Class 166 - Special £100, Reserve Special £60

Premium: £8.00 will be awarded to each entry forward at the Show, where applicable.
(Please note no premium will be paid for Class 166).

Conditions:
(i) See also General Conditions at front of Horse Section.
(ii) All animals entered in these classes must be four years old or over. Names need not be stated in advance.
(iii) Competitors are advised to hold Third Party insurance cover. Please note all competitors must be aged 18 or over to drive alone otherwise all entrants must be accompanied.
(iv) Competitors are required to have an assistant walking beside their exhibit in Showground Avenues, and to be in attendance in the ring. Non-compliance of this regulation will invite disqualification.
(v) Exhibitors will be required to execute a simple non-competitive driving course in the ring to demonstrate pace and obedience. The vehicle and harness will be taken into consideration and must be the property of the exhibitor.
(vi) The Association reserves the right to amalgamate if there are insufficient entries in any class.
(vii) Junior Whips are requested to wear white armbands.
(viii) Horses may be transferred between classes at the sole discretion of the judge.
(ix) This is a Victoria Food Company Open Private Driving Championship Qualifier. The Champion will qualify for the grand final to be held on Sunday 9th September 2012, at The Hand Equestrian Centre, Clevedon, Somerset. In the event that the Champion has already qualified, then the Reserve Champion to qualify. If the Reserve has also qualified, the rosette to be awarded to the Champion. Once qualified, the horse, whip and vehicle may not be changed.
All exhibitors should acquaint themselves with the Victoria Food Company rules
(x) Horse of the Year Show qualifier for Harness Champion of the Year, Private Driving classes. The champion will qualify, if already qualified then the next competitor down the line, who has not already qualified in 2012, will qualify for the Horse of the Year Show 2012.
(xi) Classes 162, 163, 164, 165, 167, 168 & 171 are qualifiers for the 2012 Osborne Refrigerators BDS National Championships. The highest placed turnout owned and driven by a member of the British Driving Society and eligible for the following Type-Section/s - a, b, c, d, i, j, & k disregarding those already qualified down to 6th place in the class will qualify for the 2012 Semi-Finals. The Championship will immediately follow the Semi-Finals.
(xii) Two vehicle passes and three wristbands will be allocated per entrant. Any additional passes must be applied and paid for prior to 15th June 2012.
Please note: all wristbands will only be valid for day of classes entered.
