HUNTER - RIDDEN Section Judge Class/es Ring Day Time Conf The Hon Mrs Dawn Gooch - East Sussex 95 - 98 Light Horse TH 7:30 Ride Mr Richard Mills - Oxfordshire Conditions: (i) BSHA. HOYS classes ONLY (Classes 96-98) held under the rules of the British Show Horse Association (BSHA). SHB(GB). Novice Hunter (Class 95) RIHS 2017 (Small Hunter (Class 99) and Ladies Hunter (Class 100)) and Ridden Sports Horse classes held under the rules of Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain (SHB(GB)). All Riders, Owners and Producers MUST be members of the BSHA and/or SHB(GB). (Note: Day tickets will NOT allow entry into HOYS qualifying classes.) SHB(GB) Day Ticket £30 (this entitles competitors to compete at a maximum of 1 show in the year - it covers owner and rider membership together with horse registration for that show). Horses registered with BSHA and SHB(GB) must be Owned, Exhibited and Ridden by current SHB(GB) and BSHA Members. Riders must be 15 years of age or older for BSHA. Registration Numbers must be quoted on Entry Form. (ii) Hunter classes will be judged under the BSHA rules for the HOYS classes. In the Horse of the Year Show Qualifiers, Horse of the Year Show rules take precedence, which can be downloaded from www.hoys.co.uk Hunter classes for RIHS (Small Hunter, Ladies Hunter) and Novice Hunter will be held under SHB(GB) rules which can be found at www.sporthorsegb.co.uk (iii) All Ridden Hunters must be shod all round. No pads or surgical shoes are allowed. (iv) No hind boots or bandages of any description are allowed in the collecting ring, warm up or in the actual class in Working Hunter. (v) If the judge considers that any exhibit in the Light Weight or Middle Weight classes is up to more than the specified weight, that exhibit will be transferred to a higher weight class. (vi) Judges will be asked to restrict riding to those entries selected for final consideration, having due regard to the judging time available. Qualifiers: (vii) HOYS. This Show, classes 96, 97 & 98 are qualifying competitions for the Horse of the Year Show, NEC Birmingham, 5-9 October 2016. In the Lightweight, Middleweight, Heavyweight and Working Hunter classes. The highest placed, unqualified horse in the first three will qualify to enter Horse of the Year Show. No horse lower than third place will qualify. Qualification will be verified by the Horse of the Year Show office. (viii) PONIES(UK). This Show, Classes 96, 97 & 98 are qualifiers for the Ponies (UK) Whittakers Lord Open Hunter Supreme Championship 2016 including Small Hunter. 1st, 2nd & 3rd placed competitors in each qualifying class will qualify for the 2016 Ponies(UK) Supreme Summer Finals and BSPA Finals plus the Ponies (UK) 2017 Winter Classic. Qualification tickets will be awarded in the ring to qualifying competitors. Placings will be confirmed by results sent in by the Show Secretary. Competitors in qualifying positions are NOT required to become Ponies (UK) members in order to enter the Ponies (UK) Championship Finals. (ix) TSR. Class 95 is a TSR Ridden qualifier.
