YOUNG HANDLER COMPETITIONS Qualifier for East of England Smithfield Festival Young Stock Person of the Year Mr. & Mrs. K. Proctor have kindly sponsored the Holstein Young Handler section. Larking Gowen have kindly sponsored the Any Other Dairy Breed & Beef Young Handler sections Judges: Holstein - Mr Paul Harrison - Newcastle upon Tyne Other Dairy Breeds - Mr Colin Christophers - Truro, Cornwall Beef - Mr David Blunt - Milton Keynes Judging: Thursday 27th June - Cattle Rings 8.00am Entry Fee per Standing: £27.50 (inc VAT). (It is expected that 2 calves will occupy one standing). Prizes: 1st £15, 2nd £10, 3rd £5. Rosettes: 1st to 10th Conditions: i) Handlers may exhibit in ONE HANDLER AND ONE CALF CLASS ONLY Please note that the calf should match the size of the leader and to be from one of the calf classes below. Handlers may be asked to leave the ring at the discretion of the stewards if for any reason they are deemed unsuitable. ii) All exhibitors must be able to lead, handle and control all entrants iii) Normal showing attire must be worn for the Grand Parade and during judging iv) Entries in the calf classes must have been exhibited in the young handling classes but must not have been shown the previous day. v) Bulls over 6 months are not allowed in this section.
