STOCKMEN'S STOCKJUDGING COMPETITION Organised with the Co-operation of Norfolk Livestock Club Judges: Dairy - Mr Ken Proctor - Norfolk Beef - Mr William Haire - Norfolk Sheep - Mr John Maxwell - Cambridgeshire Pigs - Mr Ian Gillies - Suffolk Judging: Thursday 29 June - Cattle Rings 9.15am - Competitors to report by 9am. Entry Fee: £5 per entry per class Prizes: 1st £10, 2nd £8, 3rd £5. Rosettes & cards will be awarded 1st - 4th. Conditions: i) Norfolk Livestock Club Centres are entitled to enter members in all or any of the Classes, but not more than two members in any one Class. Centres may substitute another member for one entered but unable to compete, if notification of such substitution is made prior to commencement of judging. Each member may enter only one competition. ii) Entries close Friday 12 May. Entries must be made by the Centre Secretary, to whom further instructions for passing to the Competitors will be sent after entries have closed. iii) Competitors are to place, in correct order of merit, a group of 4 animals, judging them as commercial stock and not on breed points. A time limit of 15 minutes will apply in each Class. The award will be made on a points basis, with a maximum score of 50 points in all Classes. Points will be deducted for wrong placings. iv) The Competition will take place in two or more of the Cattle judging rings, and appropriate pens. Judging commences at 9.15am on Thursday 29 June. Competitors should report to the cattle rings no later than 9am. Class |
